In Safe Mode, your device won’t run any third-party apps, making it easier to remove malware. We recommend booting into Safe Mode before removing apps responsible for the pop-ups. Running a malware scan using security & antivirus apps can also help block malware-induced pop-ups. Alternatively, hunt them down manually in the Android app settings menu. Use third-party app cleaners or file management apps to uninstall bloatware and adware. If your phone displays random pop-up adverts on the home screen or over any application, identify the bloatware/adware causing the problem and delete them.

If your Android smartphone isn’t running stock Android OS, it probably has some bloatware and adware pre-installed by the manufacturer, your network provider, or marketing companies. Unlike iPhone, Android devices are more susceptible to malware attacks.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Perx, Android version 8.1.0, Firefox version 84.1.1, as of this post.Disable or Uninstall Bloatware and Adware If not can the ABP devs please make an update to fix support for Firefox Android.

ABP on FF Mobile is definatly one of my favorite features of mobile browsing.ĭoes anyone have any ideas on how I can get ABP to work again? I would really like to be able to use the Adblock Plus Firefox plugin on my phone again. I made sure all my apps are up to date and that my phone and OS are up to date too. I have tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it but I can install it anymore due to Firefox saying it isn't supported. When Firefox did the major update, at first I was able to use Adblock Plus just fine but as of a few months ago, now they are saying that ABP isn't supported anymore.Īll of the other plugins I use on my phone still work and Adblock did work for a white at first, but I can not seem to get it to work anymore. I have been using Adblock Plus for Firefox on Android for a long time now and a few months ago when Firefox did a major update to better match the new Firefox on PC and now Adblock Plus isn't supported on FF Android anymore.
